Services We Offer

In the world in which we live, everything we encounter can be related in the form of Stress.  Stress is simply a term that is used to describe the wear and tear the body experiences in reaction to everyday tensions and pressures.

Change, illness, injury or career and lifestyle changes, are common causes of stress, however, it’s the pressure and tension we feel in response to the little everyday hassles – like rush hour traffic, waiting in line, and too many emails – that do the most damage.

Stress is the body and mind’s response to any pressure that disrupts its normal balance.  It occurs when our perception of events doesn’t meet our expectations and we are unable to manage our reaction.  As a response, stress expresses itself as resistance, tension, strain or frustration that throws off our physiological and psychological equilibrium, keeping us out of sync.  If our equilibrium is disturbed for long, the stress can become disabling.

There are only three areas that stress can manifest from.  Everything we encounter in life can be classified into one or more of these three.  They are: PHYSICAL, CHEMCIAL and EMOTIONAL.

Examples of Physical stress may include falls, slips, trauma, poor posture and strain.

Chemical stress involves everything we ingest, whether it be in a solid, liquid or gas state.  Things such as poor diet, deficient water consumption, harmful vapors, etc. contribute to the overall affect of your body’s ability to express health.

Emotional stress may include attitudes like anger, anxiety, worry, and feelings of guilt or condemnation.  These emotional events almost always transfer negative responses through the physical.

Emotions, or feelings, have a powerful impact on the human body.  Emotions, like frustration, insecurity and depressing feelings are stressful and inhibit optimal health.  Positive emotions like appreciation, care, and love not only feel good, they promote health, performance and well being.

What we offer here at Spinal Care and Wellness Clinic, Inc. is a MULTI-COMPONENT approach to wellness.  We know that when the human body is functioning well in all three categories, one’s health potential is exponentially expressed.

Our approach to better health includes a variety of methods concerning all three categories of stress reduction.

#1 Physical Component – As a Doctor of Chiropractic, my goal is to properly evaluate your nervous system to determine if you are experiencing any stress that may be inhibiting your body’s natural ability to express health.  This may include sophisticated scanning techniques, orthopedic testing, and the use of X-ray to evaluate biomechanical dysfunction.  Once we have determined if any interference exists, we use a specific technique called the ProAdjuster to remove that interference.

#2 Chemical Component -   We know that everything we ingest turns into a chemical reaction within the body.  Again, our objective is to determine if your daily habits may be contributing to the inhibition of your natural expression for health.  We will usually advise you concerning any medication you are taking as to if any nutritional deficiencies may be occurring due to its use.  We will also advise you as to what your proper body weight should be according to your frame and height.  We do not prescribe any specific diet plan but will educate you about what the proper nutrition plan should include.  Nutritional supplementation is a vital component to achieving optimal cellular function, which directly affects the overall health of an individual.  We will advise you on what is necessary to enhance your body’s ability to promote the optimum expression of health.

#3 Emotional Component – We certainly acknowledge the psychoemotional component to health but we will in no way attempt to analyze your emotional state.  We will, however, through the use of emWave technology, provide interactive tools to use in your daily life to create new levels of coherence (balance) and reduce the effects of stress.  The emWave system has been specifically designed to teach you how to bring your emotions, mind and body into greater coherence.  This is an easy way to interrupt the stress response and quickly reduce the impact stress has on your health, performance and overall well being.
